Thanks to the Govt funded RBI rollout (rural broadband initiative), we can offer high-speed broadband services to customers in RBI wireless coverage areas throughout New Zealand, connecting customers to the internet with great pricing and broadband connection speeds.
Our offers are designed for customers in all regions of NZ. As long as there is coverage in your area, we can provide the service.
The RBI technology is carried on the nationwide 3G & 4G network.

We can carry existing phone numbers across to RBI Voice plans – please contact us to discuss before notifying any existing line providers.
RBI Voice / Voice & Voicemail require an active RBI data plan.
RBI connections provide for 1 voice phone line only and a single analogue telephone connection (only one socket provided on the modem; extra extensions can be connected but will incur wiring and callout costs).

RBI Standard Install
Our standard installation prices include:
Mounting a standard radio receiving Yagi antenna on an existing aerial pole on a low pitch single-story rooftop.
Running up to 15m of cable to connect the antenna to the router
- cables are fitted in a secure manner
- cables are fitted either inside or outside the building as required and where possible we will run these inside the wall cavity
- the cable entry point through the roof or wall is sealed to ensure a waterproof entry point.
Extras:
If any extra parts/labour are required in addition to the items noted we will endeavour, where possible, to provide you with pricing and details of this before the commencement of the installation.
What you need to provide:
For us to complete a standard install, you will need to have available:
- A suitable existing antenna pole (or we can supply one charged as an extra)
- A spare working 240v power outlet.
- If your property is a rented premise, then you may need to obtain approval from the building owner for us to install an antenna mounting pole and create a cable entry point into the building.
Hardware Kits:
All Antennas, Wireless Routers and cables required to complete your installation will remain the property of Velocitynet.
Please note:
- Speeds are subject to environmental factors such as location, line-of-site, noise/interference.
- 1GB is calculated as 1024MB.
- Installation cost depends on stock availability, location and building type.
- Equipment remains the property of Velocitynet unless otherwise stated.
